ANADOLU KILAVUZLUK A.Ş.

  • Every profession and service in the world was born out of a need. As mankind-built ships and started to carry cargo and passengers between ports, it was always desired for a ship to complete its voyage in safety. However, after the ships have crossed the seas far from the places they have loaded, when entering a port or leaving a port after loading, in narrow, shallow, indented and flowing waters, because the characteristics of that place are not well known, the sinking of the ships as a result of conflict or the sinking of the ships, The loss of cargo, passengers and crew has created problems.
  • In order to solve these problems and prevent damage, it was necessary to manage the ships with experienced sailors who know all the features of the place very well when approaching and leaving the waters of a port, gulf, strait, river surrounded by various dangers.
  • It is this need that has created “guidance captains”, “guidance profession” and “guidance services”.
  • t is understood from the writings of the Code of Hammurabi in Old Babylon that the guiding profession has a history of more than 4,000 years. The guiding profession, which has passed through centuries, has created its own rules and traditions today
  • Today, with the increasing volume of world trade, the number of ships navigating the world’s seas has increased, and the tonnage of the ships has also grown due to their desire to carry more cargo at once. This has resulted in an increase in maritime traffic density. Both the increase in maritime traffic density and the inability to remain stable and expand due to the fact that the port structures could not change quickly enough, have left the ships, whose size has been growing, faced with the problem and risk of maneuvering in narrower areas.
  • On the other hand, the tonnage of these cargoes has grown as well as the variety of dangerous goods included in the cargoes transported by ships. All these have increased the risk of maritime accidents in places such as ports, gulfs and straits, which are called darsular, and increased the possibility of environmental disasters in case of an accident.
  • • Accordingly, the “Guidance Services”, whose historical reason for existence is the protection of ships with their crews, passengers and cargo, and “security” in short, is also very important in ensuring the protection of the ENVIRONMENT with its ports, coastal facilities and all their structures, people living on land, in the sea and in the air has gained importance.
  • ANADOLU KILAVUZLUK A.Ş., which was established with the foresight of all these requirements, serves with 3 piloting stations, 9 Pilot Engines and 110 captains.

OUR QUALITY POLICY

  • The reason for the existence of pilotage services is to protect life, property, navigation and environmental safety. In recent years, the great environmental pollution that has arisen in shipwrecks has increased the importance of pilotage services by protecting the environment due to its great contribution to the prevention of shipwrecks. Therefore, all over the world, pilotage services are seen as semi-public services even when they are not fully provided by the public
  • Since the day it was founded, our company has aimed to perform its services in the most modern way, at least at the level of the advanced countries of the world, and to make Turkey proud in this field, being aware of the semi-public nature of its services.
  • Safety” lies at the heart of the pilotage services. However, one of the requirements of our age is ‘speed’. Accordingly, for a modern service, guidance services must be provided ‘safely’ and ‘fast’. OUR PILOTAGE STATIONS

We provide 365 days-24 hours service with our three piloting stations that can comfortably accommodate 110 pilots in Darıca, Yarımca and İskenderun.

In our stations, where all the technical equipment required today is used, we have all kinds of navigation and telecommunication devices, as well as a UPS and a generator group to provide continuous electrical energy.

Our rooms, which are designed with clear fields of vision, not affected by sound and light, and adjustable in temperature, our navigation devices, where the ships can be followed on the radar screen and on the electronic map, our telecommunication devices that allow communication with relevant persons and institutions at any time, and the workforce of our experienced pilots, increase our service quality.

As you know, ships sail around the seas day and night, without saying holidays or holidays. Accordingly, pilotage services are provided 24 hours a day, unless there is an extraordinary or unusual situation such as bad weather and sea conditions, accident or marine constructions that will prevent the provision of these services. Therefore, a sufficient number of pilots are always ready to serve during their shifts at the pilotage stations to meet the services.

After completing a pilotage service, a pilot returns to the pilotage station and rests until the next service. For this, the pilotage stations should be arranged to meet all the vital needs of pilots such as resting, sleeping, eating and drinking 24 hours a day.

As can be understood from what we have explained, a guidance station basically has two main tasks. The first is to “organize and carry out the piloting services”, and the second is to accommodate the pilots 24 hours a day and meet all their vital needs.

The Yarımca Pilotage Station we are in was primarily built to fulfill the two main tasks we mentioned. However, Yarımca Pilotage Station was built and equipped with attention to its features as a smart and green building, in a way to enable other activities such as education, social activities and meetings, in addition to these two main tasks.

OUR PILOT ENGINES

In order to speed up the service, at our stations; We have 9 guide engines capable of speeding at least 20 knots at sea. Guide motors are built with today’s state-of-the-art technological facilities and equipped in accordance with international standards. In these engines, the bridge is designed in such a way that you can see the whole environment; the captain can easily see the upper part of the pilot’s cross hanging from the deck of the ship he is docking and can easily control the entrance and exit of the pilot to the ship. Again, the engine captain can control all indicators such as compass, rudder, speed, machine, navigation lights from his seat. While holding the helm, the machine can use joysticks, VHF, GPS, sounder, daytime display radar, night and fog projectors. Pilot engine personnel are trained to intervene in the event of a man overboard.

We have a sufficient number of vehicles ready for transfers between stations and to ensure that our pilots can reach the departing ship in the fastest and safest way by land. In addition, thanks to the construction design and equipment, the guide engines provide service in all kinds of working conditions and at all hours of the day in the port areas, which we are responsible for, for the purpose of providing the pilotage services in a safe and uninterrupted manner
